Authorities say an epileptic seizure caused a UW Milwaukee student from Marathon County to drown in the bathtub at her campus area apartment last month.

The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office issued its ruling in the death of 21-year-old Cheryl Kaiser of Stratford, who was in her third year at the UW-Milwaukee, majoring in photography and communications.

An earlier report had indicated she was drinking the night before she died, but the assistant medical examiner Dick Stormo says there was no alcohol found in her blood.

She was found dead after one of her roommates heard water running in the bathroom.

The roommate and her boyfriend kicked in the door when Kaiser did not respond.

Cheryl's mom Agnes says sometimes, epileptic symptoms make someone look like they've been drinking.
