Glen Burnie, MD Two people are pronounced dead following a serious car crash in Glen Burnie Friday night.

The accident happened when 20-year-old Damien Johnson swerved into a utility pole near the intersection of New Jersey Ave. and Kent Road.

Anne Arundel County Police say Johnson was speeding on an icy patch when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line, and struck the utility pole.

Four of the five occupants were trapped inside the vehicle when firefighters arrived at the scene.

A passenger, 15-year-old Courtney Leigh Housand of Glen Burnie, was pronounced dead at the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center around 11:35 p.m. Friday. Housand was a student at Glen Burnie High School.

Johnson was flown to Shock Trauma and pronounced dead Saturday afternoon.

Two other passengers, 16-year-old Nicole Feliciano and 15-year-old Kalyn Clark, suffered non-life threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition. A fifth passenger, 16-year-old Ryan Johnson, was treated and released from the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center.
