Police say the death of a 15 year old girl from Hudson appears to have been an accident.

Tabitha Murphy was hit by a car late Wednesday afternoon while she was trying to cross Route 15 in Corinth.

It was raining at the time. And police say Tabitha was wearing dark clothing. They say it does not appear that the driver was speeding.

Tabitha was a sophomore at Central High School. Police say she was heading back to school for cheerleading practice when the accident happened.
